About the building:
IT’S Informov, an architecture, engineering and design company for the corporate market, expands its headquarters in São Paulo, with the space that complements the other 2,000m² of its office inaugurated last year. The differential is the application of biophilic design, which integrates elements of nature to the work environment in order to increase productivity and the sense of well-being of employees.
“We follow the main market trends and understand that our house should be a showroom of architecture and design concepts that are on the rise,” explains Marcelo Breda, CEO of IT’S, a company with over 27 years in Brazil. Biofilia goes beyond including plants in the office. It is a new mindset for corporate projects with a focus on the user, i.e., the employees. Biofilia design uses elements from nature, such as lighting, ventilation, textures, colors and shapes to compose an environment that promotes interaction and contributes to the comfort of the team.
A study on the subject commissioned by Interface, a world reference company in modular carpets and one of the main suppliers of IT’S Informov, revealed that people who work in places with components of nature register a 15% higher level of well-being, are 6% more productive and 15% more creative. The application of Biofilia is combined with IT’S proposal to carry out humanized projects, with a focus on people. “It is essential to consider the human aspect in each stage of planning and execution of the work, placing the people who will actually enjoy the space as protagonists,” concludes Breda.
